Sacrifice of praise / ஸ்தோத்திரபலி
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Hebrews 13:15
As children of God we are called to offer praises to Him at all times. This was the habit of king David. He praised God at all times.
In Psalms 34:1 David wrote "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
So why praise God at all times and why it is a sacrifice?
We have to praise God at all times because He deserves it. He works good on our behalf all the time. He knows our weaknesses, as He himself was a man, hence He intercedes for us. He always does good to us. From Him flows all blessing. Therefore our Father in heaven alone deserves all praise at all times.
It is a sacrifice because, in a sacrifice you give up something. You give up time for a cause or food during fasting and so on.
It is easy to praise God when all is going well, but when you are in trouble and pain that is when it becomes a challenge to praise God.
Sacrifice of praise in times of trouble means giving up fear, resentment, doubt, anger, and self-centeredness (“Why me, Lord?”) and trusting Him completely, acknowledging that He is God and He knows everything and He works all things good for you.
Offer your sacrifice of Praise continually to God, may your lips give thanks to His name. He deserves it because He never fails you.

தேவனின் பிள்ளைகளாகிய நாம் அவரை எப்பொழுதும் துதிக்க அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். தாவீது ராஜா கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் துதிக்கிறவராய் காணப்பட்டார். சங்கீதம் 34:1 இல் இவ்வாறாக எழுதுகிறார், ' கர்த்தரை நான் எக்காலத்திலும் ஸ்தோத்திரிப்பேன்; அவர் துதி எப்போதும் என் வாயிலிருக்கும். '
ஏன் கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் துதிக்க வேண்டும்? ஏன் அது ஒரு பலியாக அழைக்கப்படுகிறது?
கர்த்தரையே எப்பொழுதும் துதிக்க வேண்டும், ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தர் அதற்கு தகுதியானவர். நம் சார்பில் அவர் எப்பொழுதும் நல்ல காரியங்களை செயலாற்றிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். நம் பலவீனங்களை அவர் அறிந்த படியினால் நமக்காக பரிந்து பேசிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். அவரிடத்தில் இருந்து எல்லா நன்மைகளும் நமக்கு கிடைக்கிறது.
துதிப்பது ஒரு பலி, ஏனென்றால் பலி செலுத்தும் பொழுது நாம் விட்டுக் கொடுக்கிறவர்களாய் இருக்கிறோம், நேரத்தை விட்டுக் கொடுக்கிறவராகவும், உணவை உபவாசத்தில் விட்டுக் கொடுக்கிறவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறோம். அதே போன்று நம் துன்பமான நேரத்தில் பயத்தையும் கவலையையும் வெறுப்பையும் சந்தேகத்தையும் விட்டுக் கொடுத்து தேவன் மேல் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்து அவர் யாவற்றையும் செய்து முடிப்பார் என்ற விசுவாசத்தோடு நாம் துதிக்கும் பொழுது அது துதி பலியாய் கருதப்படுகிறது.
ஆதலால் இன்று உங்கள் நாவுகளில் இருந்து எப்பொழுதும் துதி பலி எழும்பட்டும். கர்த்தர் அதற்கு பாத்திரர். ஒரு போதும் கைவிடார்.
