The two paths / இரண்டு வழி
I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life that both you and your descendants may live.
Deuteronomy 30:19
God has kept two paths for everyone of us and he has called heaven and earth as witnesses for it. The first path is life which even though is narrow and sometimes difficult is full of God's blessings. The second path is death which is broad and attractive but filled with toil, pain and eternal death.
Everyone of us are called to walk in either one of the path. We are not called to walk in both, but called to make a choice between the path of life and path of death.
I am sure like me you too would want the path of life, but how to walk in that path.
The next verse (Deut 30:20) gives us the answer.
When you love the LORD Jesus Christ with all of our heart and obey His voice which is the word of God and committing yourself firmly to Him, which is giving Him the top priority.
When you do this, you are walking in path of life, and inspite of challenges, God is there with you always in this path and will help you, strengthen you, uphold you, fight for you and give you victory and blessings flow from His hands.
But when you don't do Deut 30:20, then you walk in path of death, which is attractive but the worse part is God is not there in that path to take care of you, you are all by yourself.
Therefore choose life so that not only you are blessed but your children and children's children are also blessed.

நான் ஜீவனையும் மரணத்தையும், ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் சாபத்தையும் உனக்கு முன் வைத்தேன், ஆகையால், நீயும் உன் சந்ததியும் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு, நீ ஜீவனைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு.
உபாகமம் 30:19
கர்த்தர் நம் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் இரண்டு வலியை வைத்திருக்கிறார். முதல் வழி ஜீவனை தருகிறதாய் இருக்கிறது. அது குறுகிய பாதையாய் இருந்தாலும், கடினமான பாதையாய் இருந்தாலும், கர்த்தரின் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை தருகிற பாதையாய் இருக்கிறது.
இரண்டாவது வழி மரணத்தின் பாதையாய் இருக்கிறது. பார்ப்பதற்கு அழகாகவும் செழிப்பாகவும் இந்த இரண்டாவது பாதை இருந்தாலும், அது அழிவை கொண்டு வருகிற பாதையாய் இருக்கிறது.
நம் அனைவரையும் கர்த்தர் இந்த இரண்டு வழியில் ஒன்றை தேர்ந்தெற்கும்படி அழைக்கிறார். இரண்டு பாதைகளிலும் நடக்க அவர் அழைக்கவில்லை.
என்னைப் போன்று நீங்களும் ஜீவனுள்ள பாதையில் நடக்க விருப்பமாய் இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று உறுதியாய் விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்.
ஆனால் இந்த ஜீவனுள்ள பாதையில் நடப்பது எப்படி. அடுத்த வசனம் (உபாகமம் 30:20) அதற்கு பதிலை தருகிறது.
கர்த்தரை முழுமனதாய் நேசித்து, அவருடைய சத்தத்திற்கு அதாவது வேத வசனத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து, அவருக்கே முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்து நாம் நடக்கும்பொழுது இந்த ஜீவனுள்ள பாதையில் நடக்கிறவர்களாய் காணப்படுகிறோம். இந்தப் பாதையில் துன்பங்கள் இருந்தாலும் கர்த்தர் தாமே கூட துணையாய் இருந்து நம்மை பலப்படுத்தி உற்சாகப்படுத்தி நமக்காக யுத்தம் செய்து வெற்றியைத் தந்து நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார்.
ஆனால் மரணத்தின் பாதை அழகாகவும் செழிப்பாகவும் இருந்தாலும் அதில் கர்த்தர் நம்மோடு இருப்பதில்லை. நாம் மாத்திரமே அந்தப் பாதையில் நடக்கிறவர்களாய்
இரண்டாவது வழி மரணத்தின் பாதையாய் இருக்கிறது. பார்ப்பதற்கு அழகாகவும் செழிப்பாகவும் இந்த இரண்டாவது பாதை இருந்தாலும், அது அழிவை கொண்டு வருகிற பாதையாய் இருக்கிறது.
