Please Him
Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.
2 Corinthians 5:9
Apostle Paul tells the Corinthians Church to always aim at pleasing LORD Jesus Christ. Whether absent or present. That is whether someone sees you are not, whether you are alone or with group of people, at all times please HIM.
Because in the next verse Paul says that we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ and receive the judgement according to what we have done, whether good or bad.
So how to please HIM.
Bible gives us four important ways to please God.
First is by faith. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God. Believe HIM for everything and not depend on our ownself.
Secondly by our works, actions. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 says we have to walk in a manner pleasing God. Loving and helping others with all our heart.
Thirdly by our words. 1 Thessalonians 2:4 says that our speech must be pleasing to God and not just pleasing men.
Fourthly by keeping His commandments and following Christ teaching. 1 John 3:22
Make your life a living sacrifice unto the LORD by pleasing Him, so you will receive great rewards for it.
