Willing and Obedient
If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land.
Isaiah 1:19
Lord Jesus Christ gives this promise for those who are willing and obedient, that they shall eat the good of the land, which means they will be prosperous and successful in their life.
We all want to be successful and prosperous in our life, but to our disappoint we fail and live in pain and lack.
So how to eat the good of the land, how to enjoy the goodness that God has promised.
The answer is found in previous verses in this chapter.
Verse 16 and 17 in Isaiah Chapter 1 says
If we wash ourselves and make ourselves clean, cease to do evil, learn to do good, seek Justice, rebuke the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow,
if we are willing and obedient to do these things,
then the result is we will eat the good of the land.
In Christ Jesus we are made clean and not by our own effort and Spirit of Jesus Christ lives in us to help us do these things.
So be willing and obedient to do the things mentioned above and you shall surely eat the good of the land.
