Whom do you serve?

No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke 16:13

The verse today clearly states that we have only two masters in our life. One is God and other is mammon which means the world around us, the people, things and wealth of this world.
Even in the world, no master would want their servants to serve another master.
Even in your everyday life, you only work one full time job and serve full time one master, work full time for one company.
Imagine you work full time for two companies. The result is you will fail, because you will not be able to satisfy both.
Only when you are dedicated to one job, you will fully please that master and hence reap the benefits.
This is exactly the same reason, our Lord Jesus said "don't serve two master".
Either serve Me or serve the world you are living.
There are lot of profit and benefits serving the world but it is all temporary and leads to destruction.
Serving the world does not give you satisfaction, does not give you peace, does not fill your heart with joy and provide eternal life.
The master of this world is greedy, cunning, deceiving, selfish, hateful, unfaithful, immoral, not truthful and hence cannot be trusted and so on.
But the other Master, our Lord Jesus Christ is loving, gentle, faithful, truthful, selfless and gave His life for us, gracious, just, righteous, can be trusted wholeheartedly, fills our hearts with abundant peace, joy, gladness and helps us always in our every need, does not forget us nor forsakes us and on and on.
Which master do you serve today? Where you heart is and spends time is whom or what you serve.
If you desire the world and spend all the time in the world you serve the world master, but if you desire and love your Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart then it is Him you serve.
As Joshua's asked, chose whom you like to serve today, make a right choice and reap the blessing from your right Master, your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
