Seated with Christ
Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:5-6
Most of the time we turn to our past and think how well we were in those days and we cherish the moments in our memory. We visit quiet often the memory lane and share our good times with our friends and families. When we see pictures from the past, we are immediately filled with joy and enjoy those moments.
Like we do visit our past lives now and then, we should also visit our past spiritual life now and then.
When we do so, it will remind us who we are now and were we have come from and enable us to live every day in peace and happiness.
Our spiritual life in the past has been dead in trespass, but God the father made us alive together with Christ by His grace and not only made us alive,
but also raised us up and made us sit together with Christ in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
This is who we are now as a Christian.
The position of sitting depicts relaxing, being still.
That 's what God has called you to do. To relax and be still and know the He is God.
Know that He is fighting your battle, while you are seated with Him.
So don't work yourself hard and try to do everything on your own to handle every situation in your life and be stressed out and worn out and tired.
Instead be seated with Christ and let Him do it. Trust in Him that He will do a much better job than you and enjoy Him.
