Secret for long blessed life

Do not forget the law, let your heart keep His commands, for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.

Proverbs 3:1-2

As new year started we all hit the gym and fitness center to keep ourselves fit, so we can live longer and healthy. There is nothing wrong to exercise, but physical exercise alone won't help us to be fit and live long. Bible teaches us through the verse in proverbs, that when we don't forget or neglect God's Word and follow all it says with our whole heart, then we will have long life and peace,  long life and health, long life and prosperity.
Reading God's Word and following what it says, is like going to the gym and exercising.
You don't go to the gym to watch, you go to exercise so that the physical body will be fit.
Likewise when you read God's word and follow what it says, you are keeping your spiritual body fit.
Like the physical body, spiritual body also needs exercise.
In fact it is your spiritual body which needs exercise first. When your spiritual body is fit then your physical body will be fit and healthy and on top of that you will prosper in all you do (3 John 1:2).
Do not forget to exercise spiritually. For it adds to you long life, health and peace.
