Ascribe greatness

For I proclaim the name of the LORD; Ascribe greatness to our God.

Deuteronomy 32:3

The word ascribe in Hebrew means to speak words of excellence or greatness of a person. It means simply to praise a person about who they are and what they can do and what they have acheived.
We have seen many people praise famous personality like sportsmen, politician, cinema artist, some have fans clubs in their name and some even go to the extent of worshiping them.
But in the verse we read today, Prophet Moses singing a song about how great God is, how wonderful are His works and how good He is.
He asks the people of Israel to sing this song and teach it to their descendants so they know the great works of the LORD and know that He alone is great and greatly to be praised.
Famous personalities and persons come and go and vanish never to be found again. They fade away and they can only gather praise for themselves and can't do anything more than that, but the one and only who deserve all of our praise and honor is our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
He alone gave His life for us to redeem us and gave us eternal life.
So like prophet Moses, make a commitment to ascribe greatness only to your LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise Him only, talk about how great He is, talk about the miracles He does, talk about the impossible things He can do, talk about His unfailing love, mercy and grace and teach your children.
When you ascribe greatness to your LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, your faith grows much stronger and you will see the miracle and His glory manifest in your life.
