Are you fit?

Physical exercise profits a little, but spiritual exercise is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which to come.

1 Timothy 4:8


Gym and fitness centers are the most sought after especially during and after the pandemic.
Some have their own gym at home and exercise at home and some go to the gym.
Physical exercise is very important not just to build muscles and be in shape but for a healthy lifestyle free from sickness and diseases.
Just like how physical exercise is important to our body, spiritual exercise is even more important and benefial not just for our body alone but for our mind, soul and spirit.
Statistics shows that those who suffer from mental sickness are twice more than those who suffer from physical sickness.
So spiritual exercise not only benefits your body but it keep your mind, soul and spirit fit. It help you to have a good relationship, helps you to be financial sound, helps you to have a sound mind to make right decisions, prevents you from making mistakes and also from falling into sin, and above all it reveals to you clearly God's plan for your life and His purpose for you and enables you to receive and enjoy all the blessing that God has prepared for you even before you were born. Blessing not just here on earth but also in eternity.
So how to exercise spiritually? Just like how you take an effort to go to gym or treadmill at home, you should take effort to read God's word, understand what it says and start practicing it in your life, spend time with the LORD Jesus  in prayer and worship Him.
When you don't do this, it is like how you don't do physical exercise, and you becomse sick in your body, not only in your body but also your mind, soul and spirit becomes sick.

It does not cost you anything to do spiritual exercise, just your willingness and commitment. Be fit and enjoy God given life.
