The Walk

You have shown great mercy to your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness, of heart with you.

1 Kings 3:6

LORD appeared to king Solomon in a dream and asked him What blessings shall He give him. In response, king Solomon mentions this verse we read today.
We learn from this verse the life of king David, who was the earthly father of king Solomon.
King David walked in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness, and because of that God showed him great mercy and blessed not just him but his generations.
Walking in truth means to conduct oneself according to God's holy standards, which are mentioned in the bible, that is loving God with all of our heart and loving others as once self.
Walking in righteousness means to walk according to the will of God, and live a life as per God's plan and purpose and not as per once desire and as per what the world says.
Walking in uprightness means to live a life of repentance and being blameless, that is changing from evil ways and walking in the way of the LORD.
When we walk this way, we will see God's great mercy upon us and our children and generations will be blessed.
The LORD will be with us and be our right hand and we will never be shaken, like He was with king David and he was never shaken even though many storms hit his life.
Learn to walk in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness all through your life and you will surely see the goodness of God poured out upon your life.
