Your plan will succeed if

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed

Proverbs 16:3

The word commit in Hebrew means to seek, to run, to roll, that is to find out. Many times we rush to do things, whether it is doing a business or finding a job or getting married, or finding a school for children, or finding a house or building one, whatever it may be, we tend to use our natural instinct and fulfil our desire to get things done. But later on we find to be stuck with problems, or loss or dissatisfaction and are in pain, suffering, sadness, etc.
The bible clearly states in Proverbs 16:3 to run to the Lord, Seek Him with all our heart, share with Him our plans and ask Him if it is good, seek His permission, approval and then wait for Him to answer us. The many problems we face many times are due to the absence of this committing to the Lord in whatever we do and not only that neglect to wait for Him to answer. That is why it is important to set aside certain times in a year to seek the Lord diligently and ask Him about our plans for the year for the quarter etc. and then wait. When we go to Him in a rush, like asking Him about a plan to buy a house next week, we not only be able to hear from Him, we won't have time to wait on Him. These two are of great importance in our life for all of our plans to succeed. That is, to seek Him and Wait.
Ephesians 5:10 it says, find out what is acceptable to the Lord. When you seek the Lord for your plans, ask in prayer if it is acceptable to the Lord. He will surely answer you, through the Word of God, speak in your heart and let you know His thoughts.
So today do you want all your plans for your life and your children's life to succeed, then commit (seek) the Lord in whatever you do and wait, and your plans will succeed.
