your guard
For the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
Isaiah 52:12
You would have watched the news about US President Joe Biden's recent trip to the Middle East. But way before all the hand shakes that took place and the photo shoots that happened, the Secret Service went to the places the president visited and prepared it for him, made sure it is safe, and his stay was secure and comfortable, not only that even during the president's trip the Secret Service guard were with him, they were his rear guard protecting him at all times and taking care of his need.
This promise verse today does the similar things to us. We are greatly esteemed in the eyes of the Lord, in fact we are the apple of His eyes. Hence, God Almighty watches over us all the time with high importance. He goes before you every day to all the places that you will go and prepares it for you and make sure it is safe, He prepares a table for you in the presence of your enemies, He goes before you makes every crooked path straight, not only He goes before but is with you every day in every place you go and is your rear guard protecting you and taking care of you.
If there are any dangers for you, He alerts you, He alerts you through His Word in the bible and through the Holy Spirit.
That is why it is important that before you start the day, you spend time with the Lord Jesus in prayer and reading His Word.
He guides you in paths of righteousness, that is in right path where there are no dangers, hurdles.
So today remember this, the Lord is with you and has gone before you and prepared this day for you. Don't be afraid or fearful or anxious or confused, be peaceful and glad knowing that Lord Jesus has taken care of everything that concerns you and is with you. Enjoy every day of your life knowing this truth. You are not alone, your Lord Jesus is with you, before you and is your rear guard. He is your guard.
