Draw Near
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
James 4:8
Many times we wonder why don't we hear from God clearly for directions, for solutions, to know His will, to know His ways. The answer is given in James 4:8.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. In this world of chaos and confusion, uncertainty and instability, the only thing which is to keep us calm and at peace is the voice of God and His assurance that all is well and that He is taking care of you.
God always talks in a still small voice. In 1 kings 19:12 we see God talking to Elijah in a gentle whisper.
In order to hear the whisper, we need to be as closest to the LORD as possible. In fact, God always speaks to us in the gentle small voice, but many times we couldn't hear because we weren't close to Him.
It is of vital importance in the world that we're living to focus our attention to God and draw near to Him, so that we can know the coming dangers, calamities, know His plans and His Will and be able to escape the trials and tribulations the world brings to us.
How to draw near to God? There are only 3 things you need to do. Pray more every day and read the word of God and do what it says and importantly shut all other voices you hear through TV, Electronics, unbiblical conversations etc.
Get ready today, roll up your sleeves and go to work. Go near to God and hear from Him, and He will make all your path straight and make you be at peace.
