Look up to Zion
I lift up my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalms 121:1
Whenever they faced danger and needed help, people of Israel travelled to the LORD's temple seeking for help. And whenever they went to the LORD's temple seeking help, they received the answer, solution to their problems. Jerusalem mountain is where the temple was situated. It is called Zion, it is the place where God's presence was in the Old Testament.
But now after the resurrection of LORD Jesus Christ, we are given access to His presence directly right from our living room, or from our office or from wherever we are. When we pray to our Father in heaven and call on His name, we are granted access to His throne, granted access to Zion. We don't have to travel far like the Israelites did to seek help from the LORD.
The most important thing today that we should be mindful is the privilege we have been given and are we making use of it.
Are we looking up to Zion from where our helps come.
Today your true help only comes from Zion in heaven where our LORD sits. He is surely a praying hearing and prayer answering God.
So today look up to Zion with confidence and receive what you need from the LORD.
