Cast it first

Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

Psalms 55:22

Through this Psalm, David expressed his deep confidence in the LORD. He knew from the past experiences that it was the LORD who sustained him each and every time. From the time he was tending to the sheep till now, the LORD was the one who was protecting him and taking care of him.
That is why in this psalm, David confidently urges us to cast our burdens on the LORD.
There is a condition here, in order to be delivered from the burden we need to cast it on the LORD first. What does it mean to cast it on the LORD, it means to run to him as quick as we can and drop that heavy burden we are carrying. We cannot go to the LORD and ask Him to remove the burden or deliver from the burden. It clearly says in this verse today, it is an action from our side first, to get rid of the burden. It is not the LORD who is preventing us from lifting the burden or delaying in lifting the burden. It is us, It is you and me. The Word of God today clearly instructs us to cast the burden first, and then He will sustain us.
So today cast your burden first, let it go and put it in the feet of the LORD, and He will help you, because you are righteous through Jesus Christ.
Do not go around carrying the burden, let it be at the LORD's feet.
