Joseph did not know her before marriage.
Most of the time, unexpected news hits us at the very moment we come to enjoy fullness of Joy.
They shatter us to pieces and enable us to make radical decisions.
Joseph experienced the same. He planned to quietly separate himself from Mary and disregard their engagement.
But at that very moment, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and revealed to him the plans of God.
God's ways may seem like bad news to us. The challenges and pain we undergo make us think that God has abandoned or punished or forgotten us.
But in fact it is quite the opposite. It was by the Holy Spirit's power.
Yes, God performs miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit.
There is nothing He cannot do.
But in order for the power of the Holy Spirit to be manifested, one must believe.
Jesus said in Mark 9:23 — All things are possible for those who believe.
Mary believed what the angel said, and she was able to conceive the Son of God. The greatest miracle ever.
Supernatural meets natural through faith.
Jesus said — Just believe, and you will see the glory of God (John 11:40).
So, exercise faith every day. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of the Living God (Romans 10:17).
It is an everyday practice and not a one-time task. Make it a habit to believe God's supernatural even for small things and you will be able to see greater things.
Reflection:
What is preventing you from believing the supernatural? Are you fixing your eyes on the natural? Practice waiting on God for your needs rather than taking matters in your hands. Allow God to intervene. Do not be tempted to do things on your own. Surrender to Him and you will see the supernatural.
Prayer:
Father, strengthen Your faith You have given me. Help me to fix my eyes on You and wait on You. Give me the patience and endurance. Forgive me for not allowing You to do the supernatural in my life. I surrender to Your will and plan. Please take full control over my life, situations and circumstances. This genealogy is far more than a list of names—it’s a proclamation that God’s ancient promises have finally arrived in human form.
Long before Matthew wrote these words, God made an unbreakable covenant with David, declaring that “your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” (2 Sam 7:16)
Matthew emphasizes that Jesus came to fulfill the unconditional covenants God made with David. Not only David but also Abraham (Gen 22:18).
God promises are true and yes and amen. Even though it delays it shall surely come to pass.
His delays are not denial. He is a faithful God.
All God's promises for you will surely come to pass. No circumstance or situation or time or anything else under the sun or in the universe can stop His promises for you to be fulfilled.
Reflection:
Have you given up on God's promises over your life? Matthew reminds us that God’s timeline operates differently than ours. What appears as abandonment may simply be the unfolding of a plan too vast for our immediate comprehension. Jesus didn’t arrive because circumstances finally aligned—He arrived because God’s word cannot fail.
Prayer:
Father, strengthen my faith in Your promises. When delays tempt me to doubt, help me remember that Your faithfulness transcends time itself. You kept Your word to David and Abraham across thousands of years; help me trust that You will keep Your word to me. May I surrender my timeline to Your perfect plan, knowing that what You have promised, You will accomplish. Amen.

We see in movies or sometimes people around us just casually use this name for fun without knowing the greatness of this name.
The darkness and the kingdom of devil trembles at the name of JESUS.
But most importantly every knee bows before the name of JESUS. Which means complete surrender.
Everything that exalts against God's will must surrender and obey to the name of JESUS.
Every sickness, hurdle, brokenness, worry and such must bow it's knee.
This is what Peter and John knew and they used the name of Jesus when they healed the lame man in Acts 3.
Apostle Paul used the name of Jesus to cast out the spirit of divination out of the slave girl in Acts 16.
You too have given this priviledge to use the name of Jesus against sickness, every obstacle and challenge that comes against you and against the will of God for your life.
Speak the name of Jesus over your life, children, spouse, family. This Christmas, let Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and might rest upon me. Restore hope in every place that feels cut down. Every time the Israelites looked at those tassels, they were reminded of who they belonged to and how they were called to live. The tassels were not a fashion choice—they were a spiritual anchor.
Today, we no longer need outward tassels to remind us of God’s Word. Through Christ, the Holy Spirit writes God’s commandments on the tablets of our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). Instead of looking at the corner of our garments, we look inward—into a heart transformed by God’s grace.
The purpose remains the same: to remember God’s ways, to avoid wandering, and to live a life that reflects His holiness. His commandments are not burdens; they are blessings. They protect us, guide us, correct us, and lead us into a life of peace, joy, and favor. They are the path of life, and those who walk in them will not stumble.
So symbolically wear the tassel by meditating on God’s Word daily, obey His voice, and walk by the Spirit. Moses served as a shadow and a prophetic picture of the Messiah who was to come. In Deuteronomy 18:15, Moses declares that God will raise up a Prophet like him from among the children of Israel.
Indeed, Moses was a foreshadow of Christ. God even told Aaron and Miriam that He did not speak to Moses through dreams or visions, but face to face. In the same way, Jesus—while on earth—shared that intimate closeness with the Father, for He came from the very bosom of God.
One of the most wonderful similarities is reflected in our verse today: just as God took of the Spirit that was upon Moses and distributed it among the seventy elders, so now He has poured out the same Spirit that rested upon Jesus on all who accept Him as Lord and Savior.
This means we are empowered to do the works Jesus did—and even greater. Jesus Himself said, “Greater works than these shall you do.” The Spirit of the Lord led Jesus daily, revealed the Father’s will to Him, protected Him, sustained Him, and performed miracles and wonders through Him.
Now that very same Spirit—the One who empowered Jesus to raise Lazarus from the dead, the very Spirit who raised Christ from the dead—lives inside you.
Your part is simply to acknowledge Him every moment, to learn to hear His voice, to incline your ear to Him. That means humbling yourself, being teachable, and giving attention to what He says. When you follow the Holy Spirit in this way, He will always guide you into the perfect will of God the Father.
Then you will accomplish much and walk in the abundant life that the Lord Jesus promised.
Reflection:
Take a moment and think who you have inside of you. It is no ordinary, it is the Spirit of God Himself who was upon Lord Jesus Christ.
May this thought always fill your mind.
Think of the ways you can engage the Spirit of God in your everyday life. He is given to help you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the precious Holy Spirit whom you have given to me as a helper—the same Spirit who was in Lord Jesus.
Help me to be mindful of your Spirit. Some of these commands—like not eating fat or blood—may seem strange to us today. But behind every instruction was a deeper spiritual truth: God is holy, and His people must approach Him with reverence, respect, and obedience.
The fat represented the best part of the animal, which was to be offered exclusively to God. The blood symbolized life itself, which belongs to God alone. By forbidding the people to consume these, God taught them that certain things were sacred, set apart, and not to be treated casually.
Even today, while we are no longer under the ceremonial laws of Israel, the principle remains:
There are areas of life God still calls us to honor, surrender, and set apart for Him.
God desires that we give Him the best—not the leftovers. Our time, our worship, our decisions, our possessions—He calls us to approach Him with a heart that says, “Lord, You deserve the best part of my life.”
And when we honor our Lord and Savior who gave the best for us — His own life and salvation—with our best, we experience His nearness, His blessing, and His peace. Holiness is not a restriction—it is an invitation to deeper fellowship with Him.
Reflection:
Are there areas of my life where I have given God less than the best? Through sacrifices, their sins were covered, allowing them to draw near, bring petitions, and receive God’s blessings. God accepted blood of animals as a temporary solution to forgive the sins of those approaching Him.
If the blood of animals can allow humanity to approach God with no barrier, How much more access do we have through the blood of Jesus?
The sacrifice of Christ is not temporary, but is eternal, perfect, and complete. But God’s integrity is flawless, and His promises are unshakeable. When God speaks, He binds Himself to His word. He cannot separate Himself from being truthful, not because He must but because that is His nature.
Every promise in Scripture reflects the heart of a God. Whether it is His promise to never leave us, to provide for us, to heal us, to strengthen us, to give us peace, or to work all things for our good.
What God has spoken over your life, He is able and committed to bring to pass. God always causes us to triumph. Not because of our strength, our wisdom, or our abilities, but because we are joined to the One who has already conquered sin, death, darkness, and every work of the enemy.
When God leads us in triumph, He is not just giving us a victory; He is using our lives to spread the “sweet fragrance” of Christ everywhere we go. Just as a fragrance fills a room and changes the atmosphere, the presence of Jesus in us brings hope, peace, love, and truth to those around us.
This means your day-to-day life, your workplace, family, conversations, and choices becomes a place where God reveals Himself. Even in seasons that feel difficult, confusing, or painful, the Word says God still causes you to triumph. The victory may not always look immediate, but it is assured.
Your life is meant to carry the fragrance of Christ.
When you forgive, His fragrance spreads,
When you encourage, His fragrance spreads,
When you stay faithful in trials, His fragrance spreads,
When you choose righteousness, His fragrance spreads.
Because Christ is in you, diffuse His fragrance to all around. Heaven is His throne ,the seat of His glory, and the vast earth is merely His footstool. These words humble us, showing how small our human accomplishments are compared to the greatness of God. No building, no structure, no work of our hands can contain or define Him.
Yet, this same Almighty God chooses to dwell not in temples made by human hands, but in the hearts of those who are humble, repentant, and reverent before Him (Isaiah 66:2). God does not seek a grand building, He seeks surrendered hearts. The true temple He desires is within us — a heart yielded, obedient, and filled with His Spirit.
This is the great truth that we should understand and realize everyday. Almighty God (El-Shaddai) is within us. The King of Glory chooses to dwell with us and in us. The One who reigns over heaven and earth desires intimate fellowship with His people.
Hence our every action, words and thoughts must be holy, realizing El-Shaddai is in us. God dwelling is us was possible because of the precious price (the blood of Lord Jesus Christ) paid for us.
Reflection:
Think this truth everyday and every moment. When temptations come to test you, have you been able to stop and realize who you are with? It is important how you react, because what you do shows the world who is inside of you.
Prayer:
You are exalted above the heavens, and the earth is Your footstool. Who am I that You are mindful of me? Yet You choose to dwell with those who are humble and seek You with a sincere heart. Lord, I offer You my heart as Your dwelling place. Let my life reflect Your presence and glory. Teach me to worship You not just in words, but in spirit and truth. May my walk and life show to those around me your wonderful and awesome nature.
In Jesus’ mighty name.

Israel had grown weary, their worship had become hollow, and their hope dim. Yet, in the closing lines of the Old Testament, God offers a promise that pierces the darkness like the first light of dawn: the “sun of righteousness” will rise.
This verse points to the coming of Jesus—the Light of the World—who brings healing, renewal, and joy to all who honor God’s name. Just as the morning sun chases away the cold shadows of night, Christ’s presence drives out sin, fear, and despair. His righteousness warms the hearts of those who believe, restoring what sin has broken.
This verse promises freedom, life, and joy bursting forth after long confinement. Like the rising sun which break the dark and gives light, clarity, hope, and future, Lord Jesus Christ will rise in your darkness. He will rise in your sickness giving healing, He will rise in your pain and give peace, He will rise in your sorrow and give joy.
Always there is sunrise. Darkness won't last long.
Christ is still the healing Sun who blesses abundantly those who honor and believe in His name.
Let His rays warm you. Let His righteousness restore you.
Reflection:
Are you feeling everything dark around you with no clarity or end at side, is there no light at the end of the tunnel for you? You are almost there, it is time for the sun--Lord Jesus Christ to rise in your dark situation and give light.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness, thank You for rising over the darkness of this world and over the shadows in my heart. Let Your healing light touch every part of my life—my mind, my body, my relationships, and my spirit. Teach me to walk in the warmth of Your righteousness and to rejoice in the freedom You’ve given me. May Your light shine through me so that others may see Your goodness and find healing in Your name. Amen.
