Eat my body and drink my blood
Take, eat, this is My body. Drink from it, all of you, for this is My blood.
Matthew 26:26-28
These were the words of Jesus during the passover, before He was arrested and taken into trial.
On the outset, these words may seem cruel, but it has a profound meaning.
Eat my body means to believe in Christ as Savior and believe His word.
Drink my blood means to be cleansed by His own precious blood.
Every day we are called to do this. Believe on His word and act and obey.
Every day, we are to be cleansed by His blood.
This alone gives us life, hope, and peace, both in this time and eternal.
His word transforms us into His image, we become imitators of Christ.
His blood always presents us holy before the Father in heaven.
It is not just while you take holy communion, you eat His body and drink His blood,
but you are called to do it every day.
Every day may His word transform you and His blood cleanse you.
Be holy, for I AM holy.
