Don't look back
But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
Genesis 19:26
Before God destroyed sodom because of their great wickedness, He brought Lot (Abraham's nephew) and his family out of that place and told them not to look back at the city but rather move forward focusing on what is ahead.
But Lot's wife disobeyed and turned and loocked back at the burning city.
At that very instant she became a pillar of salt.
Even today God the Father gives us the same command, not to look back at the past.
Not to think about the past or live in the past.
When we think about the past or live in it, we become a pillar of salt meaning we will get stuck in the same place in our life.
We won't more forward to reach the God given destiny for our life.
We won't improve in life.
We should learn to forget the past and fix our eyes on what is ahead, on what God has for us.
Don't look back instead fix your eyes on what God the Father has laid in front of you, believe and have hope on what God the Father has promised for your future.
So that you will prosper and grow and fulfill God's purpose and reach the destiny He has set for you.
