Lukewarm / வெதுவெதுப்பு
So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Revelation 3:16
Lord Jesus Christ conveys a shocking message to the church of Laodicea. He tells them that they (the church - the believers in the church) are lukewarm.
What does the Lord mean by lukewarm.
To understand this word, we should learn about the city of Laodicea.
This city lacked cold drinking water and warm drinking water desired by it's citizens during summer and winter.
Hence the city engineers built canals to bring cold and warm water from outside the city, but by the time the water came to the city, they were neither cold nor warm as expected. The water was not useful and was not suitable to drink so people vomited the water out when they drank.
Lord Jesus uses this as an example and tells the believers in the church of Laodicea that they are not useful and as expected by the Lord. They are neither cold nor warm.
God has purposed for the believers in the church of Laodicea to do His will, but they didn't, they were useless.
This expectation of our Lord Jesus Christ is not only for the believers in Laodicea but also applicable to us.
When we got saved and accepted Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, God purposed for us to be His Light and to do His will. He wanted us to shine His glory through the gifts and talents He gave us. We may be a medical professional like a nurse or doctor or we may be a teacher, or a IT professional or lawyer. God gave us this profession to shine His glory and light to others, but instead many times we have hidden it and made it useless for Him. We have become lukewarm.
Let's examine God given talents and use it to glorify Christ.

லவோதிசியா தேவாலயத்திற்கு கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஒரு அதிர்ச்சியூட்டும் செய்தியை தெரிவிக்கிறார். அவர்கள் (திருச்சபை - தேவாலயத்தில் உள்ள விசுவாசிகள்) வெதுவெதுப்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று கூறினார்.
