Open my eyes
Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from Your law.
Psalms 119:18
God called king David as a man after His own heart. Because David pleased the Lord in all his ways by following all God's commandments.
He not only followed all God's commandments, he was longing to study the word of God and realized that the word of God was powerful, mighty and the most important thing in his life.
David longed to meditate on the word of God day and night. He memorized the word of God and wrote it in his heart to make sure he does not sin against God.
David was very careful in his walk with the Lord making sure he does not slip away from it, but when he did he was quick to repent and ask God forgiveness.
David asked God to help him understand everything in the law, the hidden truth and treasures.
The Word of God sustained David, blessed him abundantly, gave him victories after victories, he was the most successful king of Israel.
Today pray the same prayer and ask God to open your eyes so you can see the wondrous things in His Word. So you too can be blessed beyond measure and you too can be called by God as a man or woman after God's own heart.
