Appointed Time
Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son
Gen 18:14
God always works everything in our life in His appointed time. He is never too early or too late. He always does everything at the right time.
Timing in God's Kingdom is everything.
God knows the best time to grant us our request and bless us with His goodness. The appointed time is primarily for two main reasons.
First appointed times are for our own good. God often waits for us to mature spiritually to receive that blessing from Him, so when we receive we won't be spoiled by that blessing. It is just like how we as parents don't give certain gifts to our children but rather wait till they grow up.
The other reason for the appointed time is to glorify His name. Through the waiting, we tend to not forget what God did in our life and give credit to Him only.
In John's gospel chapter 9 disciples ask Jesus if the man's blindness is because of his sins or his parent's sins, but Jesus tells them that it is neither but it is to glorify the Father in heaven. Have you been praying for a blessing or deliverance or healing or salvation and not seen an answer yet? God has not forgotten you.
He is a prayer answering God, Nothing is too hard for Him. Surely He will answer all your last year's prayers this year and bless you more than you have imagined. He did it for Sarah, He will do it for you.
