Taste and see
Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him.
Psalms 34:8
This verse is famous and the most quoted verse in sermons, promise cards, and so on. But what it really means. What does it mean to taste the Lord? How to taste Him?
Well, the answer is in the second half of this verse itself. Which says blessed is the man who trusts in Him.
Trusting in the Lord is the way to taste Him and see His goodness.
Trusting in the LORD, makes God act on our behalf, fight our battles and break through our enemy's lines.
Trusting not just when all is going well, but trusting when all fails, when there seems to be no hope.
Trusting opens the door to God's goodness, Lord Jesus will never fail you when you put all your trust in Him. As mentioned in Proverbs 3:5, you have to trust in Him with all your heart in order to see all His goodness unfold in your life. So make it a habit to trust in the Lord from small needs to the biggest challenges in your life and enjoy His goodness.
