Feed on Him
He who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
John 6:57
The message that Jesus shared in this verse even though it is small and crisp has great value. What does Jesus mean by feeding on Him? Of course, one cannot eat His flesh. In order to understand this verse, we need to understand who our LORD Jesus is. John's gospel chapter one tells us that our LORD Jesus is the very Word of God, not just any word but life-giving Word, the Word that created the heavens and the earth.
Hence feeding on Jesus means to read and believe His Word, every one of it. His Word in the bible.
When we do so it gives life to us, it gives life to our situations, circumstances, and life itself.
When we feed on Him every day, we get life through the Word.
Nothing can stand against the Word of God. When our LORD Jesus was in the boat in the sea of Galilee, He spoke this life-giving Word and calmed the storm. When the centurion servant was sick, Jesus spoke the life-giving words and the servant lived.
We see time and again how the Word of God gave life to dead situations.
Today feed on Him, like you feed yourself three times a day, feed on Him as much as you can.
The very Words of God have the power and life to heal, restore, deliver, and bless.
