The Commandment
See I have set before you today life and good, death and evil
Deuteronomy 30:15
This is the secret sauce to all blessing in life. The Commandment.
God has laid before us commandments and when we keep it, it brings life and goodness and when we don't keep it, it brings death and evil.
What are the commandments?
It is in the next verse, verse 16. Which are, to love the LORD your God,
to walk in His ways, to keep His commandments, statutes and His judgements and when you do all this you will live and multiply and the LORD God will bless you in the land you posses.
Now this may sound like living a Old Testament lifestyle. This is what people of Israel did and failed miserably and incured the curse.
That's why Father God gave His only Son and who ever believed in Him have eternal life.
our LORD Jesus Christ when He lived on this earth, He followed all the commandments of God perfectly and hence whoever believed and accepted Jesus as Savior is considered as one who has already followed God's commandments. When you believe in LORD Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and help you live a holy life as commanded by the God.
You are now able to love the Lord God will all your heart and walk in His ways because of the help of Holy Spirit, rather than trying to do it on your own and fail and when you fail, LORD pours out His grace and make you stand again and live a holy life. There is no condemnation now.
So today take a pause in what you are doing and ask the Holy Spirit to show you the commandments of God you missed, may be it is loving the LORD Himself. He will show you and help you which will open the floodgates of blessing in your life.
