How to receive from God?
Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:24
Mark's chapter 11 is a faith chapter. Our LORD Jesus Christ teaches us about faith and tells us how to receive from God the Father what we want.
The first and foremost criteria for receiving from God is faith. In verse 22 LORD Jesus said, "Have faith in God".
Not any faith will get you what you want from God, it is only by having faith in the one true God, our Father in heaven.
What does it mean to have faith in God?
It means two things, one, know and understand who is this God whom you worship, and second, what He has done for you.
Our God 'Jehovah' is the one who formed the heavens and earth and all that is in it.
Our God 'Jehovah' is the one who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.
Our God 'Jehovah' is the one for whom nothing is impossible.
Our God 'Jehovah' is the one who is most loving, most merciful, most gracious, and slow to anger.
Our God 'Jehovah' is the one who wants to do good to us and rejoices in doing good to us. In fact, He Himself said Ask and it shall be given.
and above all Our God 'Jehovah' is the one who gave His one and only Son (our LORD Jesus Christ) to be sacrificed for our sins so that we can be redeemed from the curse of the Law and that the blessing promised to Abraham will be given to us.
Realizing all this and knowing that God who did all this and promised all this will never leave me nor forsake me nor will deny anything for me, is the faith you have in God and this faith will open doors to receive the blessings from Him.
So next time you pray, realize all this and then ask Him in FAITH, and once you have asked, believe and give thanks for receiving that blessing and it will be yours.
