The Chosen
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31
Who are the chosen by God ? Is everyone who calls themselves a Christian are the chosen? Is everyone who leads a holy life chosen? Is everyone who is a pastor or a father in a church or a clergyman chosen?
A person is chosen by God, not because his ancestors are christians or he leads a holy life or knows and has read the whole bible many times. A person is chosen by God when he or she has repented from his or her sins and believes in the LORD Jesus Christ that He is the Son of God who came to die for his or her sins and has accepted Him as his or her savior. This is the only criteria for being chosen by God.
And the greatest promise for the God's chosen is this, that He will be with them, and when He is with them who can be against them?
Today if you are that God's chosen or God's elect, this promise is for you as well.
God is for you and not against you and when He is for you no one else can be against you.
In the bible one such man was chosen by God because he believed in the LORD with all his heart and was willing to do anything for God, he was even willing to sacrifice his own son, this man was Abraham. God chose him and not only him but his generation.
Today nation of Israel (Abraham's generation) inspite of being surrounded by hostile nations and attacked every day by terrorists and with so many oppositions around them and with a land that is 90 percent desert, is economically blessed and better than all western European nations and Japan.
Why because they are the chosen.
Today you may be surrounded by hostile environment and face opposition and have no skill or talent, don't be discouraged, you are chosen and nothing is impossible for God.
He will surely prosper you and show you His salvation. He is for you and hence who can be against you?
