Commit your works
Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established.
Proverbs 16:3
We all start the week with many plans, we sometimes maintain a scheduler on the phone or a diary to note down the plans and the works we have planned to do during the week and try to execute them with our own strength and wisdom.
But king Solomon gives us a piece of advice. He tells us to commit our works to the LORD.
Proverbs 19:21 says that many are the plans of the man, but it is the LORD's purpose for him that will stand.
That is why is it important to commit the works we do to the LORD, commit the plans to the LORD, and seek His will and His hand to guide us.
When we do so, LORD will make our plans and works succeed and give the knowledge and wisdom, and favor to fulfill that work we do.
Instead of we sweating and toiling, when we commit our works to the LORD, He makes it easy for us and it never fails.
Do not make plans based on what others around have advised, do not make plans based on the worldly desire, but instead every work and plan, surrender it at the feet of the LORD and make sure it is His will.
The projects you do at your job, or the plans you have for your children, or the plans you have for your future, bring it all to the LORD and lay it at His feet and seek His counsel and advice.
He will surely make it succeed for you. His own mighty hand will be with you to help you succeed in all you do.
