Lack no good
the young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
Psalms 34:10
This is a wonderful promise that David was blessed with and he made sure to write it so we can be blessed too.
Lions are the most ferocious animal when it comes to hunting, seeking the prey.
Young lions are the most ferocious. Their focus is on the prey and they wait for it patiently all night and is not distracted.
Their mind is focused on it and they don't loose hope. And when the right time comes they make the move.
Such is there nature.
David compares seeking the LORD to that of the lion seeking for it's prey.
It is believed that lion hunting success is 90% and more, but seeking the LORD fervently as per David gives us a 100% success.
Yes seeking the LORD for good things, for deliverance, for healing, for wisdom, direction, for His will, for help, for various other blessing is like a lion seeking for it's prey.
Like the lion, we too have to be diligent, disciplined, patient, not distracted, mind focussed on the LORD with faith in Him and in His word, when we seek for good things.
And when we seek the LORD in this way day and night, He never fails us and we lack no good thing.
Seek Him with all your heart and He will give you your hearts desires.
