Do not worry
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life.
Matthew 6:25
These were the very words spoken by our LORD Jesus Christ. In fact, this is a commandment. LORD Jesus commanded you and me not to worry about life.
At the outset, this command might seem impossible to keep or this command would seem not practical.
We all worry, it is part of our nature. Studies show that a person worries at least three or four times a day and the most shocking part it 91 percent of the worries were false alarms and the rest nine percent of worries that did come true had a better outcome than expected.
That's why our LORD Jesus asked us not to worry and waste our time in life worrying about many things which do not happen the way we feared and it has had a better outcome.
But instead of worrying, LORD Jesus gave us another commandment, He said to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
So when you see, hear, or smell trouble in your life, instead of worrying seek first God and start paying attention to what God wants in your life and follow His ways.
Take every step to make sure you focus on God's Kingdom and take every effort to live life as instructed by LORD Jesus, that is loving others, praying for others, caring for others, sharing the gospel, and quit following the ways of this world.
When you do so, LORD Jesus promises us that all the things that we desired, may it be healing, financial blessing, deliverance, will be given to you.
The substitute for worrying is seeking the Kingdom of God.
