Rememberance

Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing.

Isaiah 43:18

For all of us memory is every part of our life.  Memories are good, it helps us to have a healthy bond and relationship, it helps us to realize God's blessing in our lives, and so on.
But many times we use this God-given ability called memory to drive our future. We don't use this gift that God has given to realize His faithfulness in our lives and thank Him but rather we use it to shape how we live.
Many times your memories of the past influence your future decisions. Bad experiences of your past make you very cautious or make you depend more on what you see rather than depending on God, it makes your faith in God weaker.
Your past memories also affect your current life. Many regret their current life because of the past memories and lose all the God-given blessings around them and carry the burden of disappointment, bitterness, sadness and they build a wall around them that destroys them from within.
Yes, rememberance and past memories, if not handled properly will destroy you from within.
That is why GOD through Isaiah cautions us not to remember the former things or things of old and determine our future.
He says behold, which is pay attention always, may you always look to the LORD and remember the LORD and not your past.
Because the LORD always does new things for you, He makes a way where there is no way, He makes the crooked path straight, and calls those things in your life which did not exist as though they did and brings them alive. He is your restorer, healer, and maker.
Always live a life of faith, looking and trusting the LORD, He will make it happen, there is nothing too hard for the LORD.
Do not remember former things or things of old, it will destroy you from within.
