Freedom
Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Freedom, many nations have fought many battles for it, many countless lives have been lost for it, and many have moved their entire generation from one country to another seeking this one thing called freedom.
The pilgrims who came to America fled the persecution in England and came to this land in search of freedom and free worship.
Yes, freedom is sought by all, we all want to live a free life not bound to anybody or anything, we definitely don't want to be slaves to anyone or anything.
But the sad truth is, we do. We voluntarily become slaves, we voluntarily choose not to be free.
Every day and every moment we worry, fear, doubt, depressed, and sad. On the other hand, we envy, become prideful, grumble, and argue.
All these qualities make oneself a slave to it. You become a slave to worry when you worry, you become a slave to fear when you fear, and you become a slave to pride and envy when you are prideful and envious.
But the bible says that you are set free. You have the Spirit of living God who sets you free in all this. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
Now the Spirit of the Lord dwells in you, which means you are in liberty, you are free from worry, fear, depression, and such, instead you are given boldness, joy, and peace from God. You are given countless promises from the LORD Jesus Christ, who is with you to give you abundant life.
So why live as a slave when you are set free? Claim and enjoy the God-given freedom every day of your life.
