Hand of the Master

As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us.

Psalms 123:2

We all serve masters every day of our life. In the job, in the business we serve to the higher authorities and customers and work towards satisfying their needs and then we expect from their hand in return the reward that is due, we expect in return bonus or more orders.
Our eyes look to the hand of the master whom we serve. We make sure we please the masters under whom we work in order to get good things from them.
Even though we might work hard and put all our effort to please the earthly masters, they disappoint us many times.
Many times we don't get what we deserve from the earthly masters.
But more than the earthly master, we have our heavenly Master, our LORD Jesus Christ, who is merciful and kind and loving.
He is just and faithful, who shows no partiality and rewards those who honestly seek Him.
He never disappoints anybody, He gives more than we ask and satisfies us with good things. His hand is never short and His grace abounds.
So let your eyes look to the heavenly master always. Don't look to the hand of earthly master, look to the hand of the heavenly Master.
Work honestly, sincerely, truthfully, don't work to only please the earthly master, work with a sincere heart and the heavenly master who sees your honest work will surely reward you abundantly even though the earthly master has not.
