The Reward
The LORD dealt with me according to my righteousness(moral character, spiritual integrity); According to the cleanness of my hands He has rewarded me.
Psalms18:20
Our moral character and spiritual integrity matter in the eyes of our LORD Jesus Christ. How we live, what words we speak, and what we do is being noticed not only by the world around us and by our own children but also mainly by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
While others look at our outward actions, our LORD looks at our hearts and motives in everything we do and speak.
When our actions sincerely reflect God's love for others and when our words are sincere and filled with encouragement and love and faith, these are considered as righteous deeds and we are rewarded for that.
Nothing that we do in God's Kingdom goes unnoticed.
When our righteousness and hands are clean, the reward is great.
The reward is not material, but it is spiritual. It comes in the form of grace, mercy, abundant favor, goodness, and faithfulness. All of these come from the LORD upon your life which causes you to live a blessed life, causes you to receive earthly blessings which you did not deserve.
So today, may this verse remind you always that the reward is for you every day for whatever you do to glorify the LORD Jesus.
