Prayer for Guidance
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face.
Psalm 5:8
Psalm five is a prayer Psalm for guidance. The verse mentioned today is the perfect prayer for LORD's guidance in our lives and needs to be prayed everyday, so that we don't get lost and be delayed in receiving His promises.
With many dangers around him, king David prays this prayer and is lead by the LORD throughout his life. There is no battle he has not won, with the guidance of the LORD, he wins every battle.
Today you and me let's pray this prayer so that we too can win every battle in our life.
First this prayer says, "lead me, O Lord in Your righteousness because of my enemies". Our enemy is not flesh and blood but principalities and kingdom of darkness who constantly work against us, to tempt us, to misguide us and make us lose track of God given purpose and destiny for our lives.
So it is important that our LORD Jesus Christ leads us in His ways and not as per our desire, in His plans for our lives everyday, so that we are not distracted by our enemies.
When the LORD leads us, he protects us from every temptation that comes against us.
Second part of the prayers is, "Make Your way straight before my face", which means to see and understand clearly the way of the LORD, His will, His purpose for us, so we can walk in it.
Remember His plans for our lives are always to prosper us and to do good to us as per Jeremiah 29:11.
So pray this prayer everyday of your life, for yourself and your spouse and children, so that you and your entire family is blessed and prosperous in all you do.
