Lamp
For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light.
Proverbs 6:23
We all like answers and solutions to our problems. We all like to know the way and path to well being in our lives. We like to know how to overcome struggle, and be delivered from challenges and live a blessed life. We love to be healed from our sickness, sometimes desperate for it. We want direction and advice for the situation we face. Sometimes we struggle to make decisions and are confused and look for some guidance. Manytimes we are in need of understanding to know why certain things happen in our life.
Well, today got a good news for you.
The answer to all the above is in the Word of God. For it is the lamp and light. For whoever searches diligently will find it.
The Word of God (Scripture) has answers, solutions, understanding, advice, counsel, guidance to every life's struggle, challenge, problems.
That is why Solomon says that it is the lamp and light. The very purpose of the lamp and light is to show you the way, to show you the dangers on the way, to guide you, to enable you to see and understand, to help you find that you are looking for, give you peace and much more.
Similarly the Word of God shows you the way and guides you and help you to see and understand and find what you are looking for and gives you peace.
When you read the Bible every day, it speaks to you clearly than anybody else, it give you clarity and answers. It is your companion and very present help in times of need.
Are you reading the Bible, the very Words of God everyday?
Just having the lamp in your hand is not enough, you have to turn it on or light it, only then it will give light for you to see.
