Former things

Do not remember the former things, nor consider things of old. Behold I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth.

Isaiah 43:18-19

The people of Israel are in exile in Babylon and pondering over how there life was in Israel, how they had their own house, own kingdom, own king, own language and remembering all those made them to lose heart and discouraged while they were in exile.
We face similar situation like the Israelites, many times. We tend to look at the past and remember the good times and come back to face the reality of hardship in life.
But God is saying to us today, do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old, because they will not help you focus on things that God has in store for you.
The past will paralyze you and prevent you from attaining the God's promises.
God commands us to See forward. God is excited and eager for us to see what He is accomplishing and how He is working.
God always works in the present and future and not in the past and we have to be were God is working.
If we are absent when God is working, then we won't be present when He has prepared the blessing for us.
So stopping dwelling in the past and in faith and hope see what God is doing for you. He has promised will do a new thing which will bless you like never before.
You best days are ahead and not behind.
