Emmaus Talk
What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?
Luke 24:17
This is the famous talk which is preached in churches after the resurrection. We have seen movies about this as well. But one thing we should notice is, our LORD Jesus is aware of our conversations, He walks with us and listens to what we talk. The two men didn't have any clue that Jesus was walking with them, and they were talking about the negative events that happened day before and were sad. But Jesus didn't reveal himself immediately, He listen to their discussion and asked questions, but at the end He revealed the truth in His word and the moment the word for revealed and when He blessed it, their eyes were opened and then they saw Christ.
Today we may be like this men talking about the sad events, negative things, about how the economy is bad, how things are going downhill, about bad job situation or health condition or so on and so forth.
Jesus is listening to all your such conversations and wants to help you be delivered out of it. Though Jesus does not walk physically with us like He did then, but He is with us in the Word, in the scriptures. When you and me read the word of God everyday, He opens our eyes to show us the truth and give us the hope that He is there with us and everything is going to be alright.
Open the Bible and may the word of God give you the hope, joy and peace and above all faith to endure. May the word of God bless you today and may you see Jesus through it, like the two men.
