Your desires are granted

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted.

John 15:7

We all ask the Father in heaven for our needs and desires to be met. We pray sometimes simple prayer, sometimes long prayers, sometimes repeated prayers. How can you be sure that what you asked will be answered, how to confidently ask and receive answers to prayers? The answers is in the scripture you read today. LORD Jesus Christ states two important conditions for answering and granting your desires or anything that you may ask in His name.
First is to remain or abide in Him, remain or abide in LORD Jesus Christ. What does that mean? It means to believe that Jesus Christ is LORD and Savior and have a relationship with Him through love.
Secondly for your prayers to be answered, Jesus said that His words should abide or remain in you? What does that mean His words remain and abide in you? It means that you obey His words that He spoke and written in the Bible, it means you follow His instructions.
When you are doing this two things, you can be rest assured that He will give you what you desire. When you have an intimate relationship with Jesus and obey His words, you will ask as per His will and when you ask as per His will, 1 John 5:14 says that He hears you petition and it is answered for sure.
Examine yourself today and find out how is your relationship with Jesus, is it strong and close enough, do you give priority to Him and obey His words.
May your desires be granted as you develop this relationship with LORD Jesus Christ and obey His words.
