The Working God
But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
John 5:17
In this chapter of John's gospel, Jesus famously heals a man who was sick for thirty-eight years at the pool of Bethesda.
After this incident, the pharisees come to know about this great healing that took place and found out that it was done on sabbath, which as per Jewish law was unlawful.
Hence they sought to blame Jesus and bring accusations against Him.
But Jesus gives an answer which reveals the true nature of Father God and Jesus Himself.
Jesus mentions that the Father in heaven is working at all times, be it sabbath or no sabbath, be it day or night, be it winter or summer, there is no restrictions or a good auspicious day for God to perform miracles. He is willing to do it at any time.
Today you may be like this man at pool of Bethesda, waiting for a miracle, there may be many who may say the trouble you face is because of your sins, some may even say God will not help you because is it sabbath.
Be of good cheer, Father God is always working on your behalf, to do good to you. He knows your wait.
He will surely change your circumstance and situation. He will send His Son, our LORD Jesus Christ to speak the word and get you out of the bondage.
He is a good God and always working to do good to you.
Expect Him to do the miracle every day of your life.
