What do you want?

What do you want Me to do for you? They said to Him, Lord that our eyes may be opened.

Matthew 20:32-33

This is the event recorded in gospel of Matthew about two blind man sitting on the road to Jericho. Whey they heard Jesus was passing by they cried out saying “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David”.  Hearing their cry Jesus stood still and called them and asked this question, What do you want Me to do? The blind man asked Jesus to open their eyes so they can see and not be blind anymore.
How is this event connected to us. Like these two blind man, we too are blind not physically but spiritually many times. We don’t know the ways of the LORD, we don’t know His plan and purposes for our lives, we don’t know which path we are suppose to take. We ask guidance from others who also are blind and they try to lead us in a wrong path. We are deceived many times and believe in lies and don’t know the truth.
Jesus is the only one who knows the truth and path to our destiny, He is the only one who knows the plan of Father God in our lives and He passes by us every time. All we have to do is cry out like this blind man, Have mercy on us O Lord, Son of David. Jesus is the only one who can open our spiritual eyes, so we can see the great things God has for us and inherit it. He always ask us what you want me to do for you? Ask Him to open your spiritual eyes of understanding of knowing Him better and knowing all God’s ways for you better. When the spiritual eyes are opened, all else will come together in harmony. Darkness can no more deceive you and misguide you, when the spiritual eyes are open, we see the light that shines and so see everything clearly and understand clearly. The question remains, what do you want me to do?
