Standing forever

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

Isaiah 40:8

What is the nature of the Bible and how should we relate to it? Should we take its words seriously? Can we rely on them? Or are they just interesting artifacts from ancient times that say something about those times, but say nothing to us? After all, we live in a world of change. Nothing stays the same.
Today verse pen down by Isaiah gives us a clarity on the nature of God's Word written in the bible.
It says that though everything else changes around us, Word of God never changes.
If God was with Noah, Abraham and Moses and promised them He will not leave them nor forget them, then it is the same word even today. God works in our lives as He worked in the life of the men and women of faith in the bible 2000 or 3000 years ago.
He is a never changing God.
Though we live in a world of technology and modern inventions and everything around is not the same as in the days of the bible, still the God whom we worship is the same yesterday today and forever.
If He can split the red sea many thousands years ago, He can do the same today. If by faith Joshua can stop the sun to win a battle, by faith we can too move mountains and take victory.
Bible is full of examples of what we can do and we should not do. That is why it is important to know God's word and follow those example.
Word of God should be the rock on which we stand and build our lives, because it changes not.
