The Favor that lifts
Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel.
Daniel 1:9
Daniel is a good example from the Bible of what the favor of God can accomplish. Daniel being a captive in Babylon, gained favor from the officials of the kingdom and rose in rank and became the prime minister to the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar.
How did Daniel obtain such a favor, what did he do to gain that trust from king Nebuchadnezzar himself.
Well the answer is in Daniel 10:19, were it says that Daniel for highly esteemed by God.
Daniel loved God dearly and walked in His ways, obeyed all His commandments and trusted Him. Daniel was worshiping the LORD constantly and had a close relationship with the LORD.
He was not perfect but he was a devout worshiper of the God of Israel. Hence the favor of God was abundant upon his life. So where ever he went, God favor shined upon him.
This is still true even today. When you become a devout worshiper of LORD Jesus Christ and obey His words and love Him, then His favor shines upon you like the sun wherever you go.
His favor will be upon you in your work place and will lift you up to places you have not dreamed of. His favor will protect you, provide for you, never leaves you nor forsakes you.
This is the important lesson we learn from Daniel.
Like Daniel you too are called to be a devout worshiper of LORD Jesus Christ. When you do, you are highly esteemed by God and His favor surrounds you.
