Not Everyone
Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Matthew 7:21-23
Matthew 7:21-23 is one of the scariest passages in the Bible. It's scary because it teaches that there are people who say Jesus is Lord and do all the right things, but are not known by Him. It's scary because if someone who prophesies, drives out demons, and performs wonders can't make it into Christ's Kingdom, then what hope is there for the rest of us?
This verse is an alarm to all of us, a warning to keep us in track and be focused on the Kingdom of Heaven.
It is important that you memorize this verse and remind yourself quiet often.
In this very busy world, we forget God and His purposes for our life. We forget to have an intimate relationship with Him, we forget to love Him with all of our heart, soul and mind.
Our lives becomes routine instead of approaching LORD Jesus Christ with all of our heart.
Without realizing we attend church as a routine activity and spend 1 or 2 hours a week at church and forget the rest of the whole week that there exist a God who loves us and gave His life for us.
When trouble comes we suddenly wake up and run to God and seek Him and when He delivers us from trouble life goes as a routine.
LORD Jesus Christ hates this kind of behavior. He longs to fellowship with you and me and excepts we go to Him everyday not because we need anything, but because we love Him.
We still have time to change ourselves if we are going down this routine path. Establish a loving relationship with the LORD and know His will for your life.
He will surely not leave you nor forsake you and love you till the very end.
James 4:7 says draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Draw near to God much closer everyday
