No good
I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.
Psalms 16:2
David realized an important truth from early part of his life, that there is no good anywhere except from the LORD. There is no good in any place or in anyone, only LORD Jesus Christ from whom all goodness comes.
That is why David in all times both good or bad always sought the LORD, because he knew no matter what, God will not leave him or abandon him.
David trusted in the LORD with all his heart and he was not put to shame.
Everytime when he went through tough times even facing death, he trusted in the LORD and in His goodness.
Today in the beginning of new year, like David we too need to understand and realize this important. For this entire year to be the best year for us, we should learn to seek the LORD everyday
and we should learn to trust in Him. Because only from LORD Jesus we receive the good. There is no good apart from Him.
In all things at all times, He does not forget us, He is there for us always, even when you don't feel it.
So make it a new year resolution to seek the LORD with all your heart, pray and read the bible every day, wait upon the LORD, always be closer to Him.
Then this year will be prosperous for you and you will have success, because psalms 34:10 says those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Apart from Him there is no good anywhere.
