Surprise
The Lord says, “Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are one of the smallest towns in Judah, but out of you I will bring a ruler for Israel, whose family line goes back to ancient times. Micah 5:2
Christmas is a season of surprises. Israelite's were expecting the Messiah for thousands of years to be born in Jerusalem but to their surprise He was born in Bethlehem.
They were expecting the Messiah to be born in royal courts in a royal family, but He was born in a manger to a virgin and much insignificant family.
They were expecting that Messiah will conquer Rome and rule as Israel's king, but to their surprise, He came to bring the Kingdom of God on earth and announce peace to all men and give them the good news of eternal life, much more valuable than any earthly things.
Today the world like in those days expects great things from great places from powerful and influential people, but the word of God says that God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27).
God is looking for the weak and insignificant to surprise the world. He wants to use the weak and powerless to do great and mighty things and glorify His name.
Are you feeling insignificant, weak, powerless and of no value? Then you are the right candidate that God wants to surprise the world. You don't need anything to prove the world, all you need is your willingness to allow God to work in your life. Are you willing for God to surprise the world through you? Yes the world may think you are weak, foolish, insignificant and powerless, but God thinks otherwise.
Be ready God wants to use you mightily to surprise the world.
