Lord stands with you
But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.
2 Timothy 4:17
When the Apostle Paul was in the city of Ephesus, Alexander the coppersmith caused him a lot of trouble. Paul had been trying to preach the gospel to the Ephesians, but Alexander strongly opposed his message. When Paul made his defense against Alexander's objections, no one stood with him. He had to defend the gospel on his own. Among all this opposition apostle Paul was able to continue to preach the gospel and bring many to Christ, it was all possible because LORD Jesus Christ was with him.
You are like apostle Paul, chosen by God to be an instrument in God's hands. When you are not like the world, not gossip, not go after the glamours of the world, but follow LORD Jesus with all your heart and be sincere in prayer and reading the word and telling the truth, you also will face opposition like apostle Paul. You will face opposition in your workplace, within your own family, among your friends. They may not like your views, opinions and ideas, they may even neglect you and avoid you. Be encouraged. Like apostle Paul, LORD Jesus Christ is with you as well.
The LORD will strengthen you and help you continue to stand for Christ and for truth and for the gospel.
When apostle Paul stood for Christ no matter how big the opposition was, LORD Jesus stood for Paul and nothing could stop him.
Similarly, do not be afraid, or be fearful when you stand for Christ. When you stand for Him, He stands with you whether you go.
He is at your right hand and you will not be shaken. He will bring honor to you in the same place you were ashamed and make you shine His light.
LORD stands with you always.
