Too many men

I Then the LORD said to Gideon, I am going to help you men defeat the Midianites, but you have too many men.

Judges 7:2

Gideon had been called by God to fight against the Midianites who were preparing to attack and destroy Israel. The Midianites had 135,000 men, but Gideon had only 32,000 men. Gideon no doubt thought he had too few men, but God told him that he had too many. The Israelites had cried out to the Lord for deliverance from the Midianites (Judges 6:6-7) and the Lord determined to make it plain to them that it was He that was going to save them. Thus, He had Gideon reduce his force to a mere 300 men.
This is exactly what happens in our lives too. We cry to our Lord Jesus Christ for help and deliverance. He hears our prayers and comes to rescue us with His own righteous right hand, but finds out we are trying to come out of our problem and struggle by our own effort and just need God to support our plans.
Like He said to Gideon, God says to us all well, too many men. When we have too many men, that is trying to overcome the struggle with our own strength, own wisdom, own riches, own influence, God steps back and He will not do anything.
Today do you want to see miracles come quickly in your life, the secret sauce is to reduce the number of men, that is reduce your effort and start depending on God completely.
Surrender yourself completely to God's plan. The enemy or the problem or the goal might seem bigger, but God is bigger than the biggest enemy we face.
He can give the same victory for you as He gave Gideon and his men, but you have to yield like Gideon and not resist the plans of the Lord.
Reduce your men and enjoy the victory that God gives you. Allow Him to fight your battles. Be still and know He is God.
