Strength and Shield
The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
Psalms 28:7
When things get tougher and unmanageable, we all look for someone to lean on and get strengthened. We look for places where we can get help. David also faced such situations.
He was surrounded by enemies everywhere and it seemed he was going to be destroyed. During those times, instead of looking at people whom he can lean on, he looked up to his God whom he worshipped.
David put his trust in the LORD for help. He said, LORD is my strength and shield.
We learn from the bible, David was not let down nor put to shame. LORD honored him and with long life satisfied him.
Today it is important that we follow the examples of David. He went to the source, only from where the true help comes from.
Your help and my help comes from the LORD the maker of heaven and earth. He alone is our strength and shield which is not shaken.
David put his trust in the LORD, and he said I am helped. Yes indeed he was helped by the LORD, all the time and no one could stand against him.
May the God of David, our LORD and savior Jesus Christ, be your very present help in times of need, may your heart trust in Him and may you be helped by Him.
