Promise of Life
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, sent to proclaim the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:1
There are two sides to the life we live every day. One side is the abundant life that is promised by Jesus Christ in John 10:10, and then there is the other side which is the life in this world. At any given time we are either on the side of the world or on the side of our LORD Jesus Christ. Many times we live lives on both sides trying to satisfy and please both sides.
The life in this world is not the same as the life promised by Jesus Christ. He Himself said, in this world you will have trouble but be encouraged I have overcome the world to give you the abundant life I have promised.
So what should we do to receive this promise of abundant life?
First is to accept Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior whole heartedly. Secondly, it is not only enough that we just accept Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior, but we should completely transform to His side by following all His teachings and giving the fruits that He desires, that is fruit’s like love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control.
When you follow these two steps all your life, then you experience the abundant life that Jesus promised.
Whenever you step to the side of the world, it causes trouble for you, because that is the nature of the world. But the side of Jesus is abundance and eternal life.
Bible says in 1 Peter 1:3 that God has given everything to live a godly life. He has given you His grace, mercy, above all His Holy Spirit to help you in your weakness and make you live on His side, so you can receive the promise of abundant life.
Today live on Jesus side and receive the promise of abundance in every area of your life.
