Not Orphans
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:18
Orphans are the most neglected and mistreated group of people, who are denied privileges and dishonored in the society, that is because
they don't have their birth parents who can stand for them, who take care of them and provide for all their needs, give them the best education, protect them, feed them, cloth them and give them the best home.
Orphans are the most vulnerable. Recently, when the Ukraine war broke out, many children became orphans and immediately were target of sex offenders.
Yes, this is the state and condition of orphans. They live at the mercy of their masters.
But the bible says that our God and Lord Jesus Christ never leaves us as orphans. In Ephesians 1:5 it says that we are adopted in God's family as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Which means we are the heirs, we belong to the royal family of God, we have all the privileges, authority, honor, there is no shame or defeat, because God Himself is our Father who takes care of us every day.
Realize and remember this always. You are not an orphan, but a child of God. When someone comes to harm you, God comes to rescue you because you are His child, when someone comes to bring accusation against you, God comes to stand for you, when someone comes to steal from you, our Lord God protects you, He covers you under His wings.
You are not orphans. When you cry in time of trouble, heavenly Fathers hears and immediately comes to your help. Psalms 46:1 says that God is our very present help in trouble.
So don't be discouraged and feel left alone, you are not an orphan, you are the child of the most high God. He will surely help you and take care of you and bless you.
